Hyundai Shows Off Veloster Rally Package at Chicago Auto Show

New Rally is Sportiest Member of Veloster Lineup

With an already impressive sporty family that includes the Turbo and R-Spec models, leave it to Hyundai to up the ante with the all-new Hyundai Veloster Rally Edition. This 2016 model takes the best parts of Hyundai’s entry into the affordable sports car market and improves upon them, from the stunning blue matte finish to the black leather interior accented by coordinating blue trim. A new suspension system provides improved handling on tough road courses. Try the new Rally Edition Veloster for yourself by taking a test drive at Chapman Hyundai Scottsdale when the first models arrive in May.

Serious Drivers Only Need Apply

The new Hyundai Veloster Rally Edition is meant for serious drivers who like to be in charge of their vehicle’s performance. As a result, Hyundai only offers a six-speed manual short shifting racing transmission to take full advantage of the turbocharged 1.6-liter engine that delivers 201 horsepower and 195 foot pounds of torque. Imagine yourself on the challenging Nurburgring racetrack as you take the Veloster through its paces on a mountain road. Eighteen-inch premium alloy wheels are outfitted with performance tires to make sure the rubber stays on the road.

Interior Features Bolstered Seats, Luminescent Gauges

Performance drivers will enjoy the comfort and safety of the bolstered seats in the Rally Edition that keep both driver and passenger securely in place during those tight turns. A large gauge cluster is brightly lit to keep all the necessary mechanical information just a glance away. A 7-inch touchscreen commands all your audio, phone and navigation options including HD radio and Apple Siri Eyes Free. Strategically placed badging and trim accents identify the car as the one and only Hyundai Veloster Rally Edition.

Production Limited to 1,200 Units

Stay in touch with Chapman Hyundai Scottsdale for the official arrival of the Veloster Rally Edition sometime in May. The company only plans on producing 1,200 cars, which means it will likely be a hot commodity. If you are one of the unlucky ones to miss out on the Rally Edition, the Veloster also comes in Turbo and R-Spec trim levels that come with the same turbo-charged engine, but without some of the other features of the Rally model. The Turbo and R-Spec do have an automatic transmission option for those who want some sporty fun without all the work involved in shifting.
