2018 Model Year Brings Numerous Changes for Hyundai

From the all-new Accent, Elantra GT and Kona to major changes across the board in other models, 2018 promises to be an exciting year at Chapman Hyundai Scottsdale. The new plug-in hybrid version of the IONIQ is coming to add to the all-electric and hybrid models. The Sonata Hybrid and plug-in Hybrid have been completely redesigned, as has the popular Sonata sedan.

Affordable Accent Sedan Full of Style

The very affordable Hyundai Accent sedan has been redesigned from the ground up for 2018, delivering an upscale design reminiscent of a vehicle that costs thousands of dollars more. With a standard 5-inch touchscreen and available 7-inch audio display, the new Accent has plenty of technology to let you stream your music, podcasts and audiobooks while utilizing hands-free communication. A peppy and economical 1.6L variable valve timing engine is mated with a standard 6-speed transmission or available automatic. Hyundai paid special attention to improving the ride and deadening the sound in the new version of the Accent, providing a much more pleasant driving experience.

Bold Elantra GT Delivers Exceptional Roominess

With a fluid design that provides a bold, sporty look, the all-new Elantra GT delivers both the style and performance people want in a sporty vehicle. This hatchback has more cargo room than most of its competitors, while the rear legroom provides room for three adults to sit comfortably. It comes standard with a 2.0L engine, but you can choose the Sport model and receive a turbocharged 1.6L engine that delivers 201 horsepower and almost 200 pound-feet of torque. There’s plenty of technology available in the new Elantra GT, including an 8-inch multimedia navigation system, a premium Infinity audio system and an entire suite of driver assistance safety features.

Kona Carves Unique Place in Hyundai Lineup

If you’re looking for a compact utility vehicle with a fresh design, bold colors and a sporty driving character, hold off a few weeks until the new Kona shows up on the Chapman Hyundai Scottsdale showroom floor. This nimble little vehicle is powered by a spirited turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers a thrill a second. LED lights all around, advanced safety features and a multimedia system that delivers connectivity and concert quality sound are just a few of the amenities that are sure to make the Kona a hit this fall. Wireless smartphone charging, rain-sensing wipers and a power tilt and slide sunroof add to the fun. Sensor and camera-driven safety features such as lane keeping assist and blind spot collision warning are all available on the new Kona.
