2016 Tucson

Earned Award for Safety and Kid-Friendliness

Edmunds.com, one of the leading automotive consumer publications, has teamed up with “Parents” magazine to release its list of “10 Best Family Cars.” The Hyundai Tucson, a roomy small SUV, earned a place on the list because of its safety features, roominess and attention to things that can make transporting a family an easier proposition. “Hyundai’s Tucson has a spacious interior. Its clever two-stage reclining seats and plenty of legroom allow kids to kick back and relax,” according to “Parents” editor Dana Points. “Parents whose hands are always full will appreciate the handy tailgate that swings up automatically when you approach with the key in your pocket.” See all the features the Tucson has for yourself with a visit to Chapman Hyundai Scottsdale.

10 Categories Decide Best Family Cars

This is the ninth year in a row that “Parents” magazine has joined forces with Edmunds to help consumers looking for a great family car. Judges had a clear list of categories from which to choose: safety, ride quality, comfort and roominess, efficiency, kid-friendliness, price and value, workmanship, reliability, controls and instrumentation, visibility and attributes such as ergonomic layout and design. The complete list is coming out in the July 2016 issue of “Parents.” “We understand that parents look for vehicles that provide the top safety for their families and we took that seriously with the redesigned Tucson,” Hyundai VP Mike O’Brien said.

Tucson Comes Loaded With Safety Features

Along with strategically placed airbags and a chassis designed to funnel energy away from the cockpit in the case of a wreck, the 2016 Hyundai Tucson is loaded with driver assistance safety features. Lane departure warning gives you an audible alert if you start to drift in traffic, while blind spot detection lets you know if you have a vehicle or other obstacle hidden from view. Rear cross-traffic alert alerts you to pedestrians, cars, or other obstacles crossing your path from the rear. Automatic emergency braking applies the brakes in the event of an impending collision if you fail to take action. All these features added up to a Top Safety Pick + designation from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

Plenty of Fun Features Available

From a panoramic sunroof to LED headlights and an infotainment system that keeps you connected to your friends and favorite music, the Tucson is a rolling hot spot of fun that’s perfect for any age. Hyundai CPO

Best Warranty Inspires Top Award

Because of its outstanding warranty and comprehensive inspection, the Hyundai Certified Pre-owned car program earned the award for best non-luxury CPO by “Autotrader” magazine. “We think Hyundai offers the best CPO program among non-luxury automakers,” according to Autotrader editor-in-chief Brian Moody. “The main reason is its excellent warranty, which is really just a continuation of the brand’s outstanding new-car warranty: 5 years or 60,000 miles of bumper-to-bumper limited coverage and 10 years or 100,000 miles of powertrain coverage from the car’s original sale date.” Moody said the transferability of the warranty to a new owner is another reason for picking Hyundai as the top CPO non-luxury program. Inspection Process Puts Cars in Like New Condition

Before a car can become part of the Hyundai Certified Pre-Owned program, it undergoes a rigorous inspection process to identify and fix any problems. “Hyundai Certified Pre-Owned vehicles not only come with the best warranty coverage, but they are also inspected by our trained technicians to meet the highest quality and to be in like-new condition,” Hyundai sales director Derrick Hatami said. “At Hyundai, we strive to make things better for our customers and with our CPO program we are doing just that. Our owners are receiving more than $2,000 in added value, and peace of mind with fewer problems down the road through our CPO program.”

Powertrain Warranty Best in the Business

Autotrader deemed the most important part of determining the best CPO program is the powertrain warranty. Hyundai not only has a 10-year, 10,000-mile powertrain limited warranty on the CPO vehicles, but they also come with the remainder of the 5-year, 60,000-mile new vehicle bumper-to-bumper warranty. CPO vehicles also have 10-year, unlimited mileage free roadside assistance from the original in-service date, as well as rental car and travel reimbursement, three free months of Sirius XM satellite radio and a free CARFAX report.

Save Big With CPO Specials

Since the Hyundai Warranty goes to 60,000 miles, it’s rare for a CPO vehicle to be out of warranty. That means you can shop the CPO specials at Chapman Hyundai Scottsdale with peace of mind that your car will be under warranty for all covered repairs for months, if not years, after you drive off the lot. A CPO Hyundai is thousands less than a similar new vehicle, making them a good buy for a smart consumer.
