Low Depreciation and Operating Costs

The sporty Hyundai Veloster earned a spot on the “Best Value in America” list for the third consecutive year, due to lower than expected operating costs and the strength of the vehicle’s resale value. The auto research company Vincentric made the award to Hyundai as the Veloster beat out the Volkswagen Golf and Honda Fit in the subcompact category. Vincentric is a respected firm that provides information on the auto industry to most major manufacturers and industry consumer sites. Award Uses Eight Different Metrics

Vincentric considers eight different categories when deciding on the Best Value awards. Cars are measured on the cost of maintenance, depreciation, insurance, fuel, opportunity cost, financing, fees and taxes, and repairs. The company only awards vehicles that have a lower cost of ownership than expected compared to other cars in a specific category. “This accolade proves once again the Veloster is the best in its class, combining stellar interior, performance drive, digital connectivity and top of the line safety features into a sporty, efficient, and most importantly, competitively priced package,” said Mike O’Brian, VP for Hyundai Motor America. “The Veloster was built to have outstanding value over the years, without sacrificing on performance or driver experience.”

Veloster Appeals to Young Drivers

The Veloster offers a much sportier look than other cars in its class, with a sleek design, 17-inch wheels, dual chrome tipped exhaust, rear spoiler and upgraded infotainment system. Outstanding performance and fuel efficiency combines with a lower-than expected price tag to appeal to young drivers looking for a fun vehicle without breaking the bank. 2016 Veloster Includes Rally Edition

As if the Veloster wasn’t sporty enough, Hyundai unveiled a new Rally Edition package at the recent Chicago Auto Show. The new package includes sportier suspension, lightweight wheels, specific badging and special floor mats. A B&M sport shifter lets you power through the gears as you push the Gamma 1.6-liter direct injected engine to its limits. The turbo-charged engine develops 201 horsepower, enough to pin you back in your seat while still delivering outstanding fuel efficiency of 28 miles per gallon in combined city and highway driving.
